SIGMA II DOTS LED - linear luminaire with light points

The interior designer proposed accent lighting, which would be consistent in design with the light lines that constituted the primary lighting. Because the entire office building evoked a stark, somewhat industrial-style décor, the interior design assumed no suspended ceilings for most of the open space. As a result, all installations were placed on the surface and were intended to be visible to the observer.

The relatively high floors allowed for a visual trick to make the space more welcoming. Therefore, all elements above 3 meters from the floor were painted black. Visual cohesion throughout the interiors required the use of the same black color for furnishings: chairs, desk frames, and, of course, lighting fixtures. Contrasting elements included light walls, carpeting, desk tops, conference tables, etc.

To meet the expectations of the interior designer and investor, we proposed creating a unique version of the luminaire based on the SIGMA II LED with an OPAL shade.

The Design Department, along with the Lighting Design Department and the Laboratory, developed a solution in the form of a shade cover.

This cover obscures the surface of the shade around the LED light sources and has circular openings at the source locations to allow for the emission of light.

This new version of the luminaire is equipped with a DALI power supply for controlling the light output.

The SIGMA II LED lighting system features the ability to connect luminaires into light lines. The luminaire housings are made of aluminum profiles designed to use invisible connectors to create lines that appear to be one long element, but are actually composed of multiple luminaires.

The new version of the DOTS LED luminaire also allows for the connection of additional modules. The drawing shows the OPAL LED + DOTS LED design concept.

Light lines of varying lengths were placed above the work areas. They consist of SIGMA II LED fixtures with OPAL shades and PAR parabolic louvres.

The SIGMA II LED system features various connectors, allowing the fixtures to create light patterns in certain areas. Accent fixtures were to serve as connectors between the light lines, which were also used as additional lighting in the relaxation areas.
